Attraction and the Laws

Friday, May 25, 2012

You know when people say "what comes around goes around?" and "be careful what you wish for?" That's pretty much what I've been doing for myself in the past few years; however, I've been trying to be as positive as I can. Sometimes, it just doesn't seem to work out very well. How does it work? If you focus your thoughts on positive things then chances are you'll get those positive outcomes. It's like your the magnet and your thoughts is what makes up the magnetic field that surrounds you. So when you have positive thoughts that magnetic field will attract those things.

I haven't been reading a lot lately, but I have been watching some youtube videos about life and positivism. One of the most influential speakers to me is Ibraham Fiki. He speaks fluent arabic so unfortunately there's no english videos with him in it. Anyways, he speaks about reaching goals and getting to the top of your career and how to enjoy your life. He gives a lot of examples in his life about how he got to the top of his career by following and being like the top manager in the company. He also mentioned that your thoughts are the most strongest force in humans. When you think of something you want, you may not get it right away, but maybe down the road you will. If you really, really want something, then you will get it. Positive energy, and positive thinking is more stronger than negative.

So when you feel like your day feels like crap, smile and think positively maybe that day will bring some interesting gifts. =D

Sick and Not Liking It

Tuesday, May 22, 2012

Getting sick is not a very pleasant feeling, especially when you've been sick for the whole long weekend instead of having fun with the family. For the first week I've ended up getting my allergies which eventually turned into a cold... And this cold consisted of coughing heavily, sneezing, low amounts of energy, and getting everyone else in the household sick. I did learn a few tricks on how to feel a little better each day.

  • Squeeze one lemon and sweeten it with some honey; drink and enjoy!
  • For a hot beverage I had Tetley's Dream flavoured tea, it has chamoille and lemon in it which calms the sore throat due to coughing; and I also had the Revive one, which had pure peppermint for the stuffy, runny nose of mine.
  • I also wore some proper clothing; sweat pants and a large sweater for the whole weekend kept me nice and warm without having to worry about getting my cold worst.
  • In addition, I also took one type of medicine, which was Buckleys in gel pill form. I'm not a big fan of the liquid stuff so I opted for the gel pill; I like how I can take it everywhere I go, especially when I'm at work.
  • Lastly, even thought it was the long weekend and I wished I was able to spend it with my family, I took that opportunity to rest. For most of Saturday and Sunday, I was in bed sleeping, while my supportive husband made me a yummy breakfast and cuddled with me while I was sleeping. Monday, we spent the day watching movies.
I hope everyone had a wonderful long weekend, and wasn't sick like I was! =D

Re: To Previous Post

Recently, I had a bit of a rant, and even thought it was a little blunt and mean, I have calmed down and I apologize for the negativity. Anyways, I'm a woman and I haven't gone through menopause, yet (and hopefully not for a long time). However, I know that there are a lot of women I know that are going through that stage in their life and it's not one of the most pleasant stage either. I understand that. But, if a woman acts as if the world has to be depressed and pity her because she's "suffering" by treating others like crap, then no, I'm not going to tolerate that. Of course, I'm going to bite my tounge because I don't need the drama in my life and I'm pretty content with my life as it is. That does not mean that I do not have a boundary, a line that can get crossed. And this woman is currently crossing that thin line of patience. I'm disgusted. She's fat. Old. Smells so bad, I feel like puking. And she's cranky. Sorry, but I cannot take it. If she could only wash herself better, not put on cheap dollar store perfume and if she could just smile more even if its fake, then I'll be a happy go lucky person. But damn, the aura is just killing me.

UGH.

If you're on menopause, and you're very moody and think that the word is against you in every aspect of your life... Please take your medications. There are people that don't need the drama. Period.

I will talk about what happened next post, but seriously? The world is not going to pity you because your life sucks and you're just making it worst by making it suck more. Gah!!!

WTF?!

Anyways, after all that fun, my habi and I crashed for the weekend. We had a calm mother's day and slept for most of the day. We all bought mom flowers, because out of all the things she does have, she doesn't have any real flowers. I'm glad that mom doesn't have a green thumb or else my family and I would have a difficult time trying to find a gift for her!

I logged on to my blog today and noticed that all my favorite blogs that I read have disappeared! I am not too pleased about that. If you are a reader of my blog please leave a comment so that I can add you to my reading list.

These past few days has been crazy busy. I enjoy work a lot! It's easy going and everyone has been so helpful and friendly. Honestly, I do not want to think negatively of anyone here, especially after all the drama that's been going on in my previous job.

My little brother had his graduation and prom on Thursday and Friday; it was a lot of fun. My habi danced and had so much fun. The atmosphere at the dance was crazy. Every student there were there for fun, not just for the drinks. When I looked back to my prom, it was a little dull. After the dinner, and a couple hours of dancing, most of the students left the dance and headed to the after grad. I heard it was pretty crazy, but I never did attend it.

I hope your Mother's Day went well too!

Lucky?

Tuesday, May 8, 2012

After getting to know my coworkers a bit, I've come to a realization that I've been so lucky to have a wonderful husband in my life. I've been married to him for almost 2 years now, and I should already appreciate him and all the things he's done for me. But, I've been taking that for granted. I admit it. There are still women a few years older than me, who are in relationships that are so unstable they can't even predict whether their significant other will turn a 180 on them or not. Some would even tell me that their signficant other barely gets them anything and when they do, it's not something that they like, but they'd rather take what their given because they might not get another 'gift' again. Now that I think of it, it has been my husband who has bought me all the nice clothing that actually suit me. And it has been my husband who watches out for what I eat, making sure that I'm not going to eat something that will make me sick... Yes, there are men out there just like my husband. However, many of those men are either taken, just not ready to settle down, or dare I say it, g.a.y. Ladies, if you have a wonderful man out there that do everything he can for you to make you happy, and I what I mean by "happy" is doing everything humanley, logically possible, then hold on to him! You might not get someone like him again.

My husband is amazing, and I love him very, very much.

Impressive Interview

Saturday, May 5, 2012

I've landed myself a job at a large globally known company! Excited as I was, I was also quite nervous. For one, I had to go through an interview with the agency that hires employees for the company and once I passed that, I would have the opportunity to be interviewed with the actual company. Here's a few things that you should know about interviews and how to give an impressive interview that your prospective employer would be calling you in hours giving you the job.

1) when the interview is online (skype, etc.) you should dress professionally and have a clean, quiet room to be in; nothing says "unprofessional" when you're being interviewed and the prospective employer could see how messy your room is, or how unprepared you are wearing a regular t-shirt; if you're during the interview in person, do not cross your legs (if you're a woman) and sit properly, do not slack!

2) remember, what you tell the agent in the first interview will also be passed on to the employer; if you say to the agent that you're expecting eg, $15 an hour then when you go to the prospective employer and tell them  you want $20, you're very likely not going to get the job.

3) the top questions that I get asked is "What are your strength/weakness," when you answer, be real. If you say that you're a "perfectionist" the chances are, the other interviewees have already said the same thing. Say something more real, like your weakness is you tend to over look small details.

4) your employers want to know what you're good at and what you expect from them as well so don't be afraid to tell them about your skills; you'd be surprised on how some employers don't have the skills you have, but make sure not to brag!

5) this is the most important tip that every interviewee must do and this will increase your chances of getting the job: RESEARCH! Research the company you want to work in. Don't just research the products they make, since chances are the other interviewees would already have said that during their interviews. Look further into the company, find out the company's objectives, mission objective and what they do for their community. See if they have a youtube channel and watch a couple videos. Your future employer will be impressed with your research and they will see that you're serious about working in the company.

Those tips and hints are what I've learned during my past interviews. Of course I didn't the get job for some interviews; however, I'm glad I didn't get those other jobs, because if I didn't, I wouldn't get the opportunity to work in my current employment. There are other websites, that offer a lot of other tips on how to get through an interview, so feel free to do a little more research to prepare yourself.

Good luck!
